Chef Edwin Chew has an Advanced Diploma in Culinary Arts from City & Guilds UK. Chef Elvin started his culinary journey in his tender age of 16 years old as a trainee cook in Shangri La Hotel Singapore. During his stay in Shangri-la Hotel, Chef Elvin got inspired by the glamour and colorful life in the F&B industry and started his adventure in the culinary industry since then.

During his more than 10 years of experience, Chef Elvin has worked in many Fine dinning restaurant and hotel. He is also the President of the Singapore Junior Chefs Club the youth arm of Singapore Chef Association.

Chef Elvin has also represented and won numerous competition locally and oversea. In 2008 he represented Singapore in Dubai and won Silver medal in HanS Bueshkens Memorial Trophy Competition 2008 organized by World Association of Chef Society. He also came in overall champion in 2005 in West Australia Oceanafest Salon Olynpia Culinaire Competition. He is alos part of the Dream team to represent Singapore in 2006 Singapore Food and Hotel Asia where they came in silver.

Chef Elvin currently is the Executive Chef in an up market wine bistro. As he started off at a young age, Chef Elvin understand the importance of proper guidance and training for the younger generation, which is why he is very involved in grooming the future chef of Singapore.

Chef Elvin has a certificate in Instructional Skills from ITE Singapore.

Chef Elvin believed that with perseverance and proper guidance, the younger generation of chef will have a brighter future in our Singapore Culinary scene.
